Two Awesome Tables to Build:
I love a good table, especially one that comes with a bit of character, has a story, or a bit of history connected to it. Tables tend to be the hub for all types of family gatherings, including Ping Pong ?.
To make one for everyone to enjoy and admire is kind of Awesome! There’s also something satisfying about eating around a table that you have built yourself.
What makes a table build even more satisfying is if you can do it on the cheap and fairly quickly as well. The two tables featured in this Post meet that criteria and you don’t need to be a Master Craftsman to knock them together. Both tables were built with limited tools and are built to last!
I hope you enjoy watching these two table builds as much as l enjoyed making them!
The Rustic Farmhouse Table:
I absolutely love this table! I built it from the scrap material that l salvaged from our old home that we partly demolished whilst renovating a few years back.
The Table Top was constructed using the hardwood fascia boards from the old house.
The legs and table frame came from the old yard fence that was demolished during the renovation….Total Cost for ALL Material..$00.00…Gotta love that! To buy a table of this style and size from the shops, you’d be looking at price tag of $1000.00 Plus!
What l love about this table is that it’s a reminder of our old home. It’s great that some of the old building material survived to become a major furniture piece in the new home! The other thing is that it’s a Rustic Table which means that you don’t have to have to purchase expensive material …in fact it’s better if you don’t! You don’t have to be a master craftsman to build it and you don’t need a shed full of expensive tools to make it.

The Scandinavian Style Office Table with Hair Pin Legs:
My wife was after a Office Table to replace the one she was currently using which just happened to be a kitchen table that l made some years earlier. It was just to small and she wanted something a little brighter and not quite so rustic which is my natural default go-to when it comes to making any sort of furniture.
She settled on a Scandinavian styled table with metal hairpin legs that finished up looking fantastic!
Very easy to build and like the Farmhouse table above, it was made using limited tools.
I hope you find the video useful which you can check out below!
